Limiting beliefs are just that. Beliefs that we've created, from an event that occurred in our life. We attached this belief to an event. Beliefs can be changed. THIS is a good thing. We need to re-train our brain! Beliefs define who we are. They are what we think, how we behave and the actions we take. Beliefs can be changed. <--- Let's change yours!
Let's use money as an example. Maybe you are currently really well off. Maybe you are doing better than anyone else in your family! You likely have no idea why, but you just feel like:
- you aren't successful enough
- you don't make enough money
- you just can't ever get ahead
- money is tight for you
Well, I can tell you why. Likely somewhere in your childhood, there was a situation that occurred that tagged your brain with this negative event. Maybe it was your parents fighting over money. Or your mom always stressed and worried about money. This was a negative experience for you, so you developed this limiting belief around that event. You haven't yet cleared this from your sub-conscious and re-programmed some new kick ass beliefs in it's place!
I can tell you from personal experience, working through these things is seriously one of the best things you can do for yourself. When you define the limiting belief, work through it, then re-program it with a new empowering one, you are FREE. Free from the chains of those limiting beliefs. You can then continue to reach your full potential! I encourage you to sit down and really define and work trough yours.
There are many ways you can do this. There are therapist, books, journals, and more that can guide you through. Whatever you do, just improve yourself and your mindset. Feeding our mind with good stuff every day is the key! The world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. We need some good positive armor to be able to go out in it and be a light!
